Have You Ever?

Have you ever wanted to have your own business?

Work your own schedule?
Be able to take 2 hours in the middle of the day to do something unexpected and fun with your kids?
Have a business that is worked around your family instead of your family working around your job?

You probably also thought that it wasn't possible.

WELL, IT IS VERY POSSIBLE!!!

I am an Independent Distributor For Mia Bella's Gourmet Candles and I am doing all of those things and more. I'm not going to insult your intelligence by telling you that I am making thousands of dollars a week, because I'm not. What I am doing is selling a product that I love and use, talking to people about my business, helping organizations raise money, and offering people an honest way to improve their lives.

HOW?

Who do you know that burns scented candles? For every 1 person you know, they probably know 5 and those 5 people know 5 people and on and on. Of course that doesn't mean every one of those people will buy something, but that's a pretty good starting point. For every 16oz. Jar Candle sold, your profit is at least 50%. For every 2.5 oz votive candle sold, your profit is at least 50%. I say "at least", because the profit is based strictly on how much you want to charge for the candles.

ANOTHER WAY - FUND RAISERS

Do you know people who are in school, play sports, take dance lessons, sing in the church choir,
loves animals, or are involved in any group that occasionally needs to raise money? Simply show them your product and explain that they can earn $5 to $6 per candle. You also make a profit and don't have to do any selling. Just think about what a great way this is to get your candles out to a large number of people!

Those are just 2 of the ways to earn money by being a Mia Bella distributor. If you use both or just one, you will be earning extra income. Extra income that can be used to take a vacation, buy that something special for the house or save for a rainy day. By investing a few hours a week, you will be amazed at how your business will grow! I am.

Did You See It On Oprah?

Sandra Bullock was on Oprah's Earth Day Program talking about all the black junk that paraffin wax candles leave on the jars, walls, and ceilings. That black junk is called soot. She went on to say that the best candle to burn are the ones made with natural waxes found in nature and ones with cotton wicks. Well, DUH!!! Scent-Sations/Mia Bella has been saying this for years. They produce clean, even burning, richly scented products.
Try one of these candles and you will see and smell the difference. The emphasis these days is on protecting our enviroment, so if you are going to burn a scented candle, why not burn one that doesn't harm the air around us?

Memoirs of a PTA Mom

Every once in a while my mind wanders back to a time long, long ago when I joined the PTA at my daughter's elementary school. I joined right after the kids got on the bus for a test ride at Kinder Roundup. Being a newbie, I also signed up for room mother, to volunteer in the school office, to be on the handwriting lab committee and apparently several other things I wasn't aware of. Yep, I was raring to go! All kidding aside, by putting myself out there I made many many new friends, had the inside track on who the "best" teachers were (they were all the best), and got to play a major role in helping shape the future of the school. (at least for 6 years.)
One of the biggest challenges of being on the PTA Board was always fund raising. We had 2 every year. The first was a carnival and the second was "selling something". The carnival was a major nightmare, but year after year it survived and grew mainly because no one had the courage to do away with it, so we made it better.

The "selling something" fund raiser was always a battle. No one wanted to be in charge, no one could agree on what to sell, and no one wanted to be blamed if it didn't make money. So, usually we just went through our list and found moms who hadn't volunteered for anything else and gave it to them. We did wrapping paper, candy, greeting cards, and a bunch of other things I can't remember.

Oh, if only I knew then what I know now. Oh, if only Mia Bella's Gourmet Candles had been around back then. All we would have had to do is call our friendly Independent Distributor, tell her we wanted to set up a fund raiser and then sit back and pat each other on the back saying what a good job we did.

This incredibly nice, knowledgeable, hard working person would supply us with everything we would need to get started(catalogs, order forms, etc) at no cost to us. She would allow us to pick out what products and fragrances WE wanted to use. She would skillfully guide us so that we could meet and even exceed our profit goals. Of course, she would insist on paying the shipping charges herself, so that WE could make more money. And I am positive that WE would receive our money as soon as all funds had cleared. She definitely would not want us to have to wait for delivery.

So, if only I knew then what I know now, I would certainly go to her website http://www.freewebs.com/texasscents-sa/and let her know that we want her help us have an EASY & Profitable fund raiser.

OK IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, BUT IT WORKS

I was a stay at home Mom and when my only child left for college, I was excited about my new found "freedom". No more car pools, no more planning my life around her activities, and I could eat whenever and whatever I wanted. That's not to say I wasn't sad when she left, but she was prepared and ready for the world and I was ready to pursue my interests again. I had just closed a craft business that I owned with a friend because what started out as a hobby for some extra money turned into this monster that took took all of our time and energy. I helped some other friends get ready to open their business by doing paperwork, running errands, etc. Life was good and interesting.
A friend of mine gave me my first Mia Bella Candles as a birthday present. He gave me 2 Jars and 2 dozen votives in a perfectly arranged gift basket complete with flowers. I was flabbergasted at all of the time and effort that he took (notice I said HE) into making the basket that I pretty much ignored the candles. I put my beautiful basket in the living room for all to admire and went on with my day. As I was doing my chores, I noticed that every once in a while I would get a whiff of something that smelled really good. I didn't pay a lot of attention until I came home after running some errands and the whole house smelled like a flower shop. I literally followed my nose and it led me straight to the basket sitting on the table. I couldn't believe that the scent of those candles was so strong! Mind you, the jar candles weren't lit (obviously) and the votives were wrapped in cellophane.
I immediately called my friend and asked him where he foundthese candles? Turns out a guy (yes, another guy) that he works with (in a sporting goods store!) was an independent distributor for Mia Bella's Gourmet Candles. I was hooked. They made all of my other scented candles seem dull.
I had 2 dozen votives, so I started sticking them in my linen closets, my underwear drawers, and in my office. I didn't even have to light them for them to make everything smell good.

A few weeks later, I had the opportunity to meet the "guy who works at a sporting goods store and sells candles". We talked about these amazing candles (I'm not into hunting or fishing) and he told me how the company got started, how these were soy and veggie based all natural candles, and would I like to join his team. I immediatey said "NOOOOOOOO", I'm not a salesman. (I failed Girl Scout cookies 101). He just shrugged and said "OK, no problem. Here's my card with my website on it if you want to buy anymore in the future."

So, I went to his website and saw all of the scents and all of the products that were available and made a wish list. When I called him to place an order he started laughing. I asked him what was so funny and he said "What did I do to make you want to buy more candles?" "Nothing", I said," I just like the way they smell." Then it dawned on me, you don't have to be a salesman to earn an income with these candles. All you have to do is get people to smell them and they sell themselves.

I signed up the next day.

I am having fun, doing things I never thought I could do, and earning money all at the same time!

So, if you want to experience these "scent-sational" all natural gourmet candles, just go to my website, send me an e-mail and I will send you a free scent sample (a small bag of candle pieces)& a catalog.

Enjoy!
